In recent days, Gaza has witnessed continued military escalation amid allegations of violations of the ceasefire agreement. According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, since military operations resumed, more than 1,000 people have been killed and over 3,750 people have been injured.
A few days ago, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated in a public speech that the military campaign in Gaza is not over and said that there are approximately 2,000 targets that still need to be struck in the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli military has also announced an expansion of its ground operations in the Zeitoun neighborhood, while issuing evacuation orders for residents in parts of Deir al-Balah, directing them toward central Gaza. This has triggered another wave of displacement affecting thousands of civilians. At the same time, areas considered relatively safe have become extremely limited as military operations continue and movement remains heavily restricted.
On the humanitarian front, concerns are growing over worsening shortages of food, clean water, and other essential supplies. Humanitarian organizations report that restrictions on the entry of aid and commercial goods have significantly affected their ability to continue providing assistance.
In recent days, several humanitarian and healthcare organizations have also reduced or suspended parts of their operations due to the deteriorating conditions. Reports indicate that the number of meals distributed daily by some aid organizations has dropped dramatically compared with previous levels.
The humanitarian outlook continues to deteriorate, with ongoing displacement, increasing food insecurity, and growing concerns about civilians’ access to food, clean water, and medical care.
